Who Are We?

We are your neighbors, friends and relatives. As a volunteer fire department, we are a cross section of the residents of South Whidbey Island. We are men and women, young and old.

We come from all walks of life, representing a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds. We each bring our own set of skills to the team. One common trait we share is the desire to give back to our local community.

FirefighterVolunteer firefighters and medical responders are special people, but we are people just like you. We are dedicated, motivated, compassionate, strong, respectful, trustworthy and generous.

Once you become a volunteer you will "get it." There is an intangible joy that comes from knowing you've helped make what was perhaps the worst day of someone's life, just a little better. That is why we do it. There is nothing like it.

We invite you to spend some time with us! Quite simply, this will change your life.
