Welcome to Island County Fire District #3's Website!

 

ICFD3 responded to 1,857  fire and medical calls as well as marine, hazmat & high angle rescue calls in 2007.  Within 57 miles of shoreline, our 6 stations cover 66 square miles of South Whidbey Island from Freeland to Clinton, including Langley, Bayview & Possession Point. Fire District #3 is rated by Washington State Rating Bureau as a class 7 for fire protection.

BURN BAN IN EFFECT

ADDITIONAL LONG TERM BURNING RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT

On January 1, 2007, outdoor burning became illegal within 15 additional areas throughout NWCAA's jurisdiction. The new burn bans are part of a state law, passed more than a decade ago, that has been phased in gradually. This last provision to take effect bans all outdoor burning within designated Urban Growth Area (UGA) boundaries. The affected areas are listed below. (NOTE: click on the specific City/UGA to see a map of the UGA boundaries. Click on the county name for a list of alternatives available in your area.)
